The development and management of gas fired power stations and renewable energy and infrastructure is another of IDM’s significant areas of expertise.  Work in this field has commenced with feasibility studies, resource and environmental assessments, management plans and approvals.

Gas Fired Power Stations

The following programs and projects have been completed by the IDM team:

  • Project management of a gas fired power station development in South Australia
  • Engineering and commercial feasibility assessment for a gas fired power station in the Australian Capital Territory
  • Environmental studies, management plans and approvals for gas fired power stations in the Australian Capital Territory, Victoria and South Australia

Renewable Generators

The following programs and projects have been completed by the IDM team:

  • Feasibility study into wind farms in the Australian Capital Territory and regional New South Wales
  • Preliminary resource studies and environmental assessment of potential wind farm sites
  • Land access approvals for wind farm sites
  • Feasibility studies, technical and commercial assessment of various grid-linked photovoltaic solar energy initiatives

Energy Infrastructure Delivery

IDM was engaged by AGL Energy Limited to provide program and project management services across a range of energy infrastructure projects including gas pipelines and compressor stations.  Project specific services included system planning, modelling, engineering management, environmental and statutory approvals, land access and native title clearances, procurement, contracting strategy, construction management, and commissioning.  IDM also provided project controls services across the full infrastructure development program, including project planning, cost control, progress monitoring and reporting, risk management and quality management.
